The VS-81HD 8x1:2 HD-SDI Switcher from Kramer is designed to manage SDI (SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 344M) and HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) video signals. It can switch any one of (8) inputs to (2) identical outputs. This device offers 8x2 switching for SDI (SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 344M) and HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) video signals.

It supports a maximum data rate of 1.485Gbps

Kramer's proprietary re-Klocking & Equalization Technology rebuilds the digital signal to allow for longer transmission distances

This unit is HDTV-compatible

Control options include: front panel, RS-232, RS-485, contact closure, IR remote (included), and remote IR receiver (optional)

Kramer's Active Input Indication Reporting offers multi-colored LED indicators to show different states of signal status on an individual channel

Bi-level and tri-level analog sync types are available

Selectable sync-signal termination is supported

It features a front-panel control lockout feature

Vertical interval switching is supported for SMPTE RP-168
